With construction underway on Shed 3, Hip Hops Brewers are looking to the detail adding the right taproom furniture to their fit out plans for the Brewery, opening later this year.
One feature will be their use of some old Radiata Pine slabs that they plan to repurpose into taproom tables.
The timber slabs are unique, sustainably sourced and another way Hip Hops Brewers and The Sheds are working together to help the environment.
The Radiata Pine trees were milled at a Griffin site in preparation for another Wattle Run development, starting up later in the year.
The community developer Wattle Run, decided to slab the tree trunks with a plan to use the timber in some way rather than destroy them.
The slabs were milled onsite, brought to Shed 3 to dry out and be stored until the perfect project presented itself for them to upcycle the timber.
Hip Hops Brewers industrial chic taproom tables were just the project to bring these slabs back to life.
What better purpose for the wood that was stored in Shed 3 to now become a part of its new fit out.
Hip Hops Brewers have created an industrial style taproom table combining these pine slab with black metal legs to compliment the fit out and exposed steel frame.
The surface will have an epoxy applied to savour the light brown heartwood and wide growth rings synonymous with Radiata Pine.
The tables are currently being made in readiness for the brewery.
